An inclusive European training program making Sustainable DevOps skills accessible to women, career changers, and underrepresented groups in tech.

About DevOps Academy

DevOps Academy is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project that designs and implements an innovative training program on Sustainable DevOps to boost inclusive career opportunities in the IT sector. The project brings together six partners from Portugal, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Belgium, and Austria.

Our mission is to democratize access to DevOps skills, particularly for women, adults without a technical background, and underrepresented groups in the job market. By combining cutting-edge technology with sustainability principles, the project aims to create a new professional pathway into one of the most in-demand and future-proof fields in tech.

Our Goals

  • Define a Competence Framework on Sustainable DevOps: mapping the skills, knowledge, and barriers learners face when entering the field.
  • Develop inclusive training resources: creating structured content, practical exercises, and a multilingual e-learning platform tailored for adult learners.
  • Launch the Sustainable DevOps Academy: selecting and training DevOps trainers, and piloting the Academy with target groups across Europe.

DevOps professionals are among the most sought-after in today’s digital economy. Yet, access to this career path is often limited to those with formal technical backgrounds. DevOps Academy bridges this gap, offering hands-on, beginner-friendly learning that integrates technical skills with soft skills, teamwork, and sustainable practices

Foundational and specialisation learning materials, an e-learning platform, and the setup of the training program, all created with agile methods and real-life scenarios to build both technical and soft skills.

PR3: Implementation of the Sustainable DevOps Academy
Selection and training of mentors, learner and trainer guidelines, program infrastructure and engagement, first cohort delivery, and iterative improvement after pilot validation.

Upcoming

We publish results as they are validated and made public, following Erasmus+ open access and dissemination practices. Expect staged releases of the framework, training resources, platform access, and pilot updates. The final outputs for public download and reference will be hosted here.
